LaunchSpace's community garden needs some seasonal care, and we'd love a Day of Caring crew to help. Volunteers will start by cutting back invasive plants that have encroached along the garden perimeter, then spread donated mulch on the garden paths and around the perimeter once it's cleared. This is an all-outdoor, hands-on project involving light-to-moderate physical labor (shoveling, hauling, bending, cutting brush); no special skills are required, just a willingness to work outside and get a little dirty. LaunchSpace will provide mulch, loam, wheelbarrows, rakes, shovels, loppers/pruners, water, and light snacks. Volunteers should bring closed-toe shoes or work boots, clothes that can get dirty, work gloves if they have them, and sun protection.
