Day of Caring 2025 Agency Registration is Now Closed!
If you have volunteer project needs, please feel free to post them on our Volunteer Center website any time of year. UWNCM also works with many local companies to set up employee volunteer projects throughout the year. If you would like to be added to our contact list for potential corporate volunteer projects, please reach out to Divina Hernandez at divina@uwncm.org.

30th Annual United Way Day of Caring
Friday, September 19, 2025
Day of Caring Project Requirements:

Projects can consist of outdoor work (ex. landscaping, painting, carpentry, trail work) or indoor work (ex. filing, cleaning & organizing, computer work, mailings).

All projects run from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. Please ensure that there is adequate work for the number of volunteers requested.

Agencies must provide all necessary supplies and tools for volunteers.

Please provide a snack and water/drinks for volunteers. (Lunch is not necessary, since all volunteers are invited to our "Thank You" Barbecue at 1:30 pm)

An agency staff person MUST be onsite at all times for volunteer guidance and assistance.

Project Sign-up deadline is August 15th.

Project location must be within UWNCM’s service region (Ashburnham, Ashby, Athol/Orange, Ayer, Devens, Fitchburg, Gardner, Groton, Harvard, Hubbardston, Leominster, Littleton, Lunenburg, Petersham, Pepperell, Phillipston, Royalston, Shirley, Templeton, Townsend, Westminster, and Winchendon)

There are two agency registration options:

Register your project on-line on our website (see instructions below).

Complete our on-line project registration form and UWNCM staff will enter your project on our website.

Your organization needs to registered on the UWNCM Volunteer website (Volunteer Center), and you need to be registered as an Agency Manager for your organization. (Note: If your agency has participated in the DOC in the past, your agency should already be registered on our website). If you are not currently listed as an Agency Manager for your agency, please contact Randi: randi@uwncm.org for assistance.

Login to your User Account from Volunteer Center homepage.

Click on "My Agency" in the tab at the top of the page.

Below your agency name, you will see 2 rows of options (light grey font). Click on the “Advanced Events” option.

Scroll down and click on blue “Add New Opportunity” box on the right.

Fill in ALL fields to submit your project.
